Isn't he adorable...

Logan is just a funny kid.
None of my kids found something that they loved (had) to sleep with this early. Logan just loves his little lamb blanket and cuddles almost every night with him now.

He is always good for a smile whether he knows you or not.

He is my flirt and makes my day brighter. There is just something about sleeping babies that I can't resist.

It was bound to happen . . .

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Last night, Matt was getting Eston ready for bed. They went upstairs to brush his teeth, and the next thing I hear is Matt hollering for me to come quick. Eston somehow fell of his little stool and hit the back of his head on the bathroom counter. It was bleeding a lot. So we made our first Urgent Care trip (that wasn't respiratory related) of the year. Matt and I keep joking around that this is the year of the broken arm. I think we forgot about the possibilities of stitches (or staples).

When we got there, Eston just wanted to look at the fishes. They put this awesome purple gauze band on his head. He kept telling us how beautiful he was. After a while they took us in the back and was given 2 staples. We get to go back next week to take them out.

Here is to the first of many with the kid!!

One of my firsts. . .

On Saturday April 18th I ran my first 5K. It was more like a walk/run. I decided last summer when I was 5 months pregnant and HUGE that I was going to make an effort to run a few of these the next year. I have 3 possibly 4 more lined up. I might be crazy but it is a lot of fun.

Spider man ran along with us in full costume. I took this picture with him for Eston. Before the race started we saw a shirt that read, "If you can read this, you just got passed by a grandma." Yeah, she passed me about a quarter mile into the race. That was a pick me up. I ran it in 46.20. I will try to better that the next time.

The only picture I have from the race is this picture of Spider man and I with my friends thumb. I don't have any pictures because I somehow deleted them from my phone. Kinda sad, since it was a big accomplishment for me.

New Addition to the Family

No, we are not having another baby. Hahaha

We finally bought a car that will fit our whole family and I am so excited about it. It is a 2004 GMC Envoy. We got it on Tax day and have been trying out all of the new gadgets. My FAVORITE feature in this vehicle is the Dual zone air controls. I can finally not freeze, when Matt tells me that he is too hot. Now we have to take a road trip somewhere, to break this baby in.

Happy Easter part 1

I was able to snap some quick shots of the kids after church. It was an interesting experience and they turned out Semi cute. Lucy was the only one that protested at the end.

The girls had a little pedicure time before church. Sammie was so excited that all of our toe nails matched. Lucy has enjoyed it, she has continually been grabbing at her feet and cooing.

Happy Easter part 2

We went on several Easter egg hunts. One at the park, one at our house, and one at Nana's house. Part of Eston's winnings from Grandpa and Nana's house was a toolbox. Eston decided to make a few home repairs for Nana.

Sammie couldn't stay in one spot when it came to searching for eggs. She was everywhere which resulted in less eggs for her than everyone else.

Eston was surprisingly one of the quicker kids. He was able to get a good load from all the hunts.

It was a cold day. I find it humorous that my kids won't look at the camera but a stranger is already for the picture.

Thanks for coming and helping out.

Tree Climbers

We took the kids to play outside. It's been bad weather lately and we finally had one good day. They were loving the trees and wanted to climb all of them.

Eston's "N" obsession

Eston is a good talker. He pronounces his words rather well for a 2 year old. However, he includes the letter "N" into a lot of his words. Examples would be:
Carly - Carny
Owie - Ownie
Papa - Panpa
Sorry - Sorny
Doing - Doning
Tired - Tinerd
these are just a few but you get the idea.

So tonight he asked when dad would be home from "wornk". I said in a little bit and asked if he wanted to call his dad. When Matt answered the phone and said, "Hello", Eston replied with, "Hell No dad". Oh it was quite the moment in our house. Eston didn't know it but he just told his dad off.

We will eventually figure out that "N" doesn't go in every sentence.

A Busy Conference Weekend

Let me just say that if it is going to be declared OFFICIALLY SPRING, then we better have good weather. My kids wanted to go outside and play so bad, that I finally caved in and let them, lucky it was one of the few moments that there was no rain/snow. It was however about 40 degrees outside. I was inside, which explains why you can see the dirt on the window in this picture.

We went into our Conference weekend with sick kids, mainly Lucy. She had been sick for a week and on Friday I finally took her to the doctors office again. They ran some tests and called Saturday morning to let us know that she had a Double whammy and was slammed with two nasty viruses. She had the Paraflu (croup) and RSV they told us to take her up to Primary Children's hospital to get her breathing checked. After a few hours we came home and as of today she seems a lot better. However, we are now moving on to baby two. Apparently TWINS do share everything. Poor Logan is all congested and miserable. All he wants is to be held and cuddled. Luckily his lungs still seem clear and it seems to just be a head cold so far. I will be happy when they both are over this nasty stuff.

On Saturday night my sisters came over and took Sammie and Eston over to my brother's house for dinner and to hang out during the Priesthood session. It was a nice break since I had two babies that needed my attention. They had ice cream and Sammie made a huge mess (this girl hates to be dirty) we had to get a pic.

I did manage to finish making the girls Easter dresses this weekend. I am excited to see them wear them together. Sammie has been begging to have a matching dress with Lucy. I just need to go get Sammie's shirt for underneath. The boys also have matching shirts and ties. I love that I can coordinate my kids clothes with each other every now and then.

New tricks

I remember as a kid taking our sleeping bags, blankets, mattresses, or anything that gave optimal sliding capabilities and using it as a mechanism to fly down our stairs. When we moved to our new house my first thought on the stairs reverted to this fun past time and my next thought was how dangerous it looked for Sammie and Eston.

Today they figured out this joy on their own. While I was getting ready I heard Sammie say, "K Eston, now slide." I walked around the corner to find them doing this. Sammie sitting on the stairs with the blanket on top of her (not under) and Eston had it wrapped around his waist (again, not under him). Oh how proud was I at the effort they had put into that game.

I, of course couldn't let them continue to do it wrong, and I kind of wanted to relive that moment again. So I took a few turns to show them the proper way of doing it. They still haven't figured it out and it is better that way. We may have been late to dance, but at least it was for a dang good reason.

Sorry baby, that you missed out. We will try again when you get home from work.
