We started the morning at trying to wake up. Matt came out to find us on the couch huddled up together. We had planned to meet Nana and the cousins at Discovery Gateway around 10:00 making it a must to finally wake-up. This is also how we ended our night, back on the couch, in a huddle.

The Discovery Gateway had a special exhibit of Sesame Street. It was all I could do to snap this picture because the kids had so many friends on Sesame Street to meet.

Eston was running around like a crazy person. You would have thought that Big Bird and friends had come to life. He would run from one exhibit to the next and each time he would stop long enough to stand next to Big Bird's feet look around and then take off. He was hilarious to watch.

Eventually we stopped at Mr. Hooper's store to play for a while. Eston just enjoyed making a sandwich with Nana and Sammie was excited to be able to scan everyone's groceries and ring them up at the cash register.

After the Sesame Street exhibit we went to see the rest of the museum. We spent about 45 minutes there until we decided it was lunch time and that we should go home for naps. We went back later that night with Matt and stayed for about 3 hours. Eston has proved he is a boy by how much he is in love with construction, (we can put the princess dresses away.) He was so excited to be building with the huge blocks and to send them down the big tube. Sammie thought it was so cool that she could actually ride a horse that wouldn't move.

We had a ton of fun and look forward to doing it again next year sometime. (It costs an arm and a leg to go in to this place.)

Loved the dating flashback post...I never knew that about you two...but so cute! And the "your turn" comic....story of my life...but when John does finally get up to take care of bella....you know what he does, he just picks her up, brings her into our bed and then he falls back asleep...as to which Bella does not. So I'm still stuck with Bella who needs something and it just takes me more time to get her back to sleep in her bed. These men have it all figured out. I love checking in on you! Your kids are growing so fast and Sam is just a little girl now. Crazy!
I'm glad you guys went back and got your money's worth for the day. It really is expensive... esp because you have to pay for yourself to go in as well. I know Aspen has loved it and by next year she'll be so much more into it. I think it's a great place! glad you guys had fun
did i ever tell you about the boonshoft pass? You can use it at gateway and it's fairly inexpensive (or cheaper than what they want for a season pass) check it out! boonshoft.com
Looks like Sammie and Eston loved the Gateway. I am hoping to go this month. It sounds like the best thing to do is go in the morning, go for naps and then hit it again in the evening.
I've had an enjoyable time updating myself on your blog. I never knew you and Matt only dated a short while. Justin and I also dated only for 2 months (I think that is the amount of time you said on the blog). Although he was in Kuna (next to Boise) and I was in Pocatello, so we got to know each other through the phone. Fun. Thanks for sharing your experience. Another thing. I suppose that you made your blog to invited readers only for protection right? I only ask, because I am considering it.
Love Discovery Gateway! I really need to take my girls back. Brookie would freak out over the Sesame Street theme. Call us next time you go.
Too cute... thanks for sharing!
