The Legend of the Hammer Wammer

Once upon a time there were four kids. They were happy little kids, but would often get scared in the night time. One day while sitting around talking, they heard a noise. When asked what that noise was there dad (without missing a beat) said, "Oh, that is the Hammer Wammer." It was told that the Hammer Wammer lives under our house and holds our house up so that it won't fall into the ground. That is why our house makes noises at night, the Hammer Wammer is just shifting positions. The Hammer Wammer has evolved into something much more than a creature that holds up our house. The Hammer Wammer also eats green bugs, he is our friend, he keeps the night light on at night, he protects us from strange sounds and shadows.

The kids asked Matt to draw a picture of the Hammer Wammer. This is what we think this strange animal looks like:

If you see this animal do not run, I repeat do not run. Just say thank you and go about your day.

Have I mentioned that Matt is awesome and an amazing dad?

You Are My Everything

Not having Internet makes it hard for me to post on the specific day that I want to remember. We have to be happy with a few days late.

HAPPY 6TH ANNIVERSARY BABY!!

You are my everything . . . I am so IN LOVE with you.

Thanks for the 4 beautiful kids, but even more important . . .

Thanks for picking me. I look forward to forever.

Love,
Brynnzie

New Years Eve and other stuff

Sammie is really into painting, drawing, coloring, stencils, etc. You name it and it is art related she loves it. One Sunday during church Sammie drew our family Christmas picture. We loved it so much that we framed them and gave them to Grandma's for Christmas. We also have one sitting in our living room on our shelf.

(Brynn, Eston, Sammie, Matt, Logan, Lucy)

She got this art easel from Nana and Grandpa Jim for Christmas. She sits at our table every day for about 2-3 hours and draws. She is getting pretty good.

For New Year's Eve we put together a last minute party and ended up with 18+ guests. We had both sides of our families there. Matt's parents and brother and sister came from Idaho and my family all got together to play games in ring in the New Year. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed all of our company.

With a New Year brings advancement in classes at Church. Eston is our new Sunbeam. He is adjusting to it, but luckily had a little boy move into the neighborhood just in time so now he has a boy his age in class with him.

Sammie advanced to CTR 4. She thinks she has aged 5 years by this new move. That girl keeps us on our toes.

We are excited to see what 2010 brings us.

Christmas Day

Matt and I came up with the idea of doubling the gate at the bottom of the stairs so that the kids couldn't escape and start the party without us. They were so excited, but had to wait for us to wake up the Twins and give them there sippy cups.

Once the kids had been released they rushed to the goods. Logan and Lucy were excited to see new things out for them to play with.

Sammie really wanted Santa to bring her a LIV doll.

Eston asked for a train set. He got GEO TRAX. I don't know who is more excited for it, Matt or Eston.

Logan LOVES dogs.

Lucy got her own My Little Pony to feed.

Santa always gives a book to each child. They love it.

Eston got goggles and a work flashlight from his brother and sisters. He uses it every night at 3 am to come up to our room.

After Christmas morning at our house we went over to Nana and Grandpa's house for Brunch. We had a lot of good food and opened more presents. It was a long day but family filled.
Can't wait till next year.

Christmas Eve and Past

I just thought I would throw this picture in really quick. I needed to buy me some winter boots and the babies played with the box for over an hour.

We were able to go to Sammie's Christmas Showcase for her dance class. All she wanted was for her dad to be there. Matt arrived right on time and she kept looking over at him to make sure he was watching. It was pretty cute.

We really enjoyed our holidays with family and friends. Most of the holidays were spent with at least one person in our household sick at any given time. This had been going since my birthday in mid November and carried through to Christmas. Good Times.

I took Sammie and Eston to see Santa at our local grocery store while Matt stayed home with the SICK twins. I wish I had gotten the twins picture with Santa this year, but oh well, I can't win them all.

This is our Christmas Sunday picture. We happened to have everyone ready for Church at 8:40 in the morning. I was shocked. So we took a morning picture. Once again I was shocked, all the kids sat happily for a few shots.

Every year we get together with my mom's family and celebrate Christmas Eve together. We act out the nativity and read our YULE LOG resolutions. We started to get ready for the Nativity. I tried to dress Logan up as a Shepherd, but that only lasted for about 2 minutes. We turned him into a donkey (really a lion costume.)

The nativity last year consisted of 4 Mary's and 2 Josephs. This year we tried to even out the actors. Apparently we did a little two well. We ended up with 5 Angels, 0 Mary's (until we convinced one angel to convert over), 1 Joseph, 1 Cowboy (Wise man), 1 donkey (lion),1 sheep (bunny). It was quite the event.

This is my herd.

Here is our entire cast. It is always quite the comedy to watch these kids perform.

After we read our new resolutions and stuffed the YULE LOG, we headed home to open our Christmas Pajamas.

Grandma Brenda and Papa Dallas have been awesome to give us this fun tradition at our house. All the kids were really excited and headed off to bed, but not before leaving Santa his cookies and cheese.

We really enjoyed our time leading up to this day. Our kids get so giddy.
