Bear Lake 2009

We had yet another fun vacation up at my Uncle's cabin. It is always nice to be able to get away to The Creamery. It is one place that I can go with all of my kids and not feel that I am going crazy. We went over Valentine's weekend. This time, Carly brought all of her roommates. When they arrived to the cabin, Sammie asked who they were and Carly said, "These are my ROOMMATES." Sammie's reply to that was, "Oh, your MERMAIDS." I guess that they sound similar. For the rest of the weekend, all the girls were referred to as Carly's mermaids. They loved it. Sammie spent most of her time following them around.



When we go to the cabin we try to bring a few things for the kids to do in case they start getting a little stir crazy. Lindsay brought a bunch of pipe cleaners, and made the kids glasses, tiaras, necklaces, and flowers. Lindsay also decorated cookies with the kids. She made them a special cookie that was the first letter of their names and they got to put whatever they wanted on them.



I have to explain this picture to you. The first time that Sammie and Jake went to the cabin they sat in this little Winnie the Pooh car and had us push them around. They were only 10 months old. Each time we have gone since we end up taking a picture of them. It is fun to see how big they are getting. I don't know how much longer they will fit in the car.



This was the twins first trip to Idaho. Matt felt like it was a big moment since Idaho is so much better than Utah (or so I am CONSTANTLY told). They did awesome and slept through the night. It was a pretty relaxing trip.

S- Matt and then we called his parents and told them on the drive over to my parents house.

E- We were kind of shocked. I think my mom figured it out on her own. Then we had to tell people.

L & L- We kept it to ourselves for about 3 weeks, but only got to 8 weeks because I started to show a lot sooner. (Keep in mind that we still thought we were expecting only one.)

** Did you plan to get pregnant?

S- yes

E- no, he was our surprise

L & L- yes

** Was everybody happy for you?

S- yes

E- yes and surprised

L & L- yes

S- yes

S- yes, and then some

S- nope

L & L- not unless finding out that it is twins is a complication

S- The hospital, I was induced.

E- never labored

L & L- had contractions for about 3 or 4 weeks, but never was in active labor

S- not until the Doctor broke it

E- no

L & L- no

** Did you go early or late?

S- 6 days late

E- 7 days early

L & L- 16 days early

S- Matt

S- epidural,

Unless I want to check myself into a psych ward, we won't for another oh, long time. We might be done!

** If you could would you do it all over again?

It would be nice to spread it out more, but it has been nice to go through each stage all at once.

8 People think that I am insane to take four kids under the age of four to the grocery store, just for a break.

11. I make my husband take me camping at least once a year so I can get my fix.
